Don’t fall for this type of scam/phishing attempt. It has two features that every 100% scam or phishing attempt has in common.

  1. It provides little information about you while including a whole bunch of scare tactics (you will face a judge)
  2. You must act now, or have little to no time left to respond.

So if you landed on this page based on a similar call let us know, and if it was from a different number then listed above.

  5. “Regarding tax fraud against your name so before this matter goes to Federal claims court house or you get arrested kindly call us back on our number as soon as possible it’s 772-410-8948 I repeat it’s 772-410-8948 hope to hear from you soon before the charges are pressed against you thank you…”

    • Good info. And yes its unfortunately they are able to use spoofing caller ID’s to make it look like its calling from a local (and even police department) which really throws people for a loop.

  9. “2nd attempt” received from 1-437-217-6009 , 14372176009, 1 437 217 6009

    • I also received one today from the same phone number. I googled it because I wanted to see if it was fake. I found it odd that it was a recording and no one says my name. I am blocking the number.

    • Well I got “the second attempt call today claiming to be from SS just warning me that they were freezing my SS# and the US Marshals were looking for me however they had All my info correct SS# and address and DOB scared the shit outta me. Thick Indian accent named Jerry Collins…lol

      • I’m getting threats from a judge I owe 700.00 to be free from but when I called it sounds forner from another country

        • I blocked it but they keep text me from different number what should I do change my number

          • Hey Troy, unfortunate they are robocalling any numbers in existence, so even if you get a new number, it too will eventually receive the call(s) from the spammers computer systems that are completing these requests.
