There are outstanding statistics that give good reason to make a website mobile-friendly. \u00a0In the USA,\u00a094% of people with smartphones search for local information on their phones. And of those\u00a077% of mobile searches occur \u00a0at a place of home or work place, where desktop or laptop devices are likely present.<\/p>\n

If that is not enough reasoning to have a mobile-friendly site, than the change Google made this April to its search algorithm should<\/p>\n

convince you.<\/p>\n

Google made a huge change to its search algorithm (effective on 4\/21\/2015) that affects all sites that are not mobile friendly.<\/p>\n

Here is an example of how it would affect two businesses.<\/p>\n

You and your competitor both have great sites, provide similar services and have similar target audiences. \u00a0But you have a mobile-friendly site.<\/p>\n

Prior to Google’s change, you both would still have an equal shot at showing up on the first page during searches made on the mobile phone.<\/p>\n
